Our clinical team consists of Generally Registered Psychologists, Psychologists with Provisional Registration (Prov.) and ACA Accredited Counsellors.
At Elysium Psychology, all Psychologists with Provisional Registration (Prov.) are registered psychologists with AHPRA. They have completed a minimum of four years higher education majoring in Psychology, most have completed a Masters and some even have a PhD in Psychology or related fields. They meet regularly for clinical supervision and mentoring with two senior psychologists who are approved by the Psychology Board of Australia, and they undertake continued professional development to further develop their skills and to maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge, expertise and competence. Treatment by a Provisionally registered Psychologist (Prov.) follows the same scientist-practitioner principles as a Generally Registered Psychologist. They are competent in assessment, diagnosis, formulation and treatment of a wide range of mental health issues.
Our ACA Accredited Counsellors have completed a minimum of 3 years of education majoring in counselling skills and theory. They are registered with the Australian Counselling Association and provide counselling on issues associated with grief and loss, relationships issues and mental health. They use techniques from the following modalities; narrative, solution-focussed, person centred and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Katy (She/Her), a Psychologist with extensive experience and a heart of gold. Katy has been registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency – Psychology Board since 2007. She’s not just a Generalist Psychologist but also an AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor.
Over the years, Katy has lent her caring hand to various organizations and industries, including housing and homelessness, alcohol and other drugs, immigration detention, community health, occupational rehabilitation, higher education, and private practice.
Besides her clinical work, Katy is an accredited trainer with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with many years of experience under her belt. She’s been a mentor and a guide for our provisional psychologists and the entire Elysium clinical team.

Sigmund (“Siggy”) – Therapy Dog
Meet Siggy: Our Adorable Young Labradoodle and Future Therapy Dog
Siggy is the heartwarming member of our team, currently undergoing training to become a therapy dog. His role is to assist our psychologists and counsellors in their work with clients, offering a source of comfort and companionship.
Siggy’s affection knows no bounds, and he has a special fondness for children and young people. For clients who may be visiting our clinic for the first time, Siggy provides a soothing presence to ease any anxieties.
When Katy, his handler, is in the office, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and spend time with Siggy. If you’d like him around during your visit, simply ask reception, and we’d be delighted to make that happen.
Siggy is not only a therapy dog in training but also a social butterfly. If you have your own support dog and wish to bring them to your session, rest assured that we extend a warm welcome to furry friends at Elysium Psychology.
