About Elysium Psychology
Established in 2013, Elysium Psychology is committed to enhancing mental health and wellbeing through compassionate care and evidence-based practice. We believe that early intervention, education, and access to quality psychological services are vital to building healthier communities.

-
Support early recognition of symptoms and promote timely intervention.
-
Increase awareness of treatment options and encourage help-seeking behaviours.

Promote self-help strategies for managing less severe psychological concerns.
-
Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed treatment to individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.
Our Journey
2013–2019: Foundations and Community Care
Elysium Psychology began in 2013 as a solo practice founded by Katy Dib, operating in partnership with Melbourne Affordable Psychology, a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing low-cost psychological services to the community. During this time, the practice focused on making quality mental health care accessible, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, and laying the foundation for what would become a thriving group practice.
2019–2021: Adapting and Expanding
In 2019, we welcomed new clinicians to our Ascot Vale clinic, expanding our capacity to support the growing needs of the local community.
When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in 2020, our team quickly adapted to telehealth, ensuring continued access to care throughout Melbourne and Victoria.
In response to increasing demand, we opened a second location in Greensborough in November 2020.
2022: Purpose-Built Growth
In mid-2022, we relocated from Ascot Vale to a newly designed, larger practice in Brunswick. This allowed for further team expansion and improved access to services across Melbourne’s inner north.
2023: Deepening Connections
Throughout 2023, we continued to grow our clinical team and strengthened partnerships with La Trobe, Monash, and RMIT universities, offering placement opportunities and fostering academic collaboration.
2024: A Thriving Team
By 2024, Elysium Psychology had grown to include 30 psychologists and counsellors, supported by a professional Client Services Team and a Community Engagement and Marketing Assistant. Our team remained committed to providing ethical, inclusive, and effective mental health care to an increasingly diverse client base.
2025: Elysium in Schools
In 2025, we expanded our Elysium in Schools program, embedding psychologists within school communities to offer direct support to students, families, and staff. This initiative reflects our mission to provide accessible early intervention and strengthen the mental health of young people across Victoria.
Leadership and Vision
Katy Dib, Director and Principal Psychologist, leads Elysium Psychology with a deep commitment to service excellence, community engagement, and education. As an AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor, Katy mentors provisional psychologists and partners with La Trobe and Monash Universities to offer supervision, placements, and internship pathways. She is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and uses both clinical and digital platforms to reduce stigma and promote wellbeing.
Our Dragonfly Logo

The Dragonfly: A Symbol of Growth, Clarity, and Presence
The dragonfly represents transformation, self-awareness, and the power that comes from emotional and mental maturity. It reminds us that real change begins within.
Depth and Reflection
Traditionally connected to water, the dragonfly’s movement across the surface symbolizes looking beneath what is obvious — a call to explore the deeper layers of life and self.
Power and Grace
With incredible agility, the dragonfly can fly in all directions, hover, and change course instantly. Despite its power, it moves with calm efficiency, flapping its wings just 30 times a minute — a striking contrast to the frantic movement of other insects.
This balance of strength and control reflects wisdom, poise, and maturity.
Clarity and Self-Discovery
The dragonfly’s shimmering iridescence reveals different colours depending on the light — a metaphor for shedding illusions and seeing life from multiple perspectives. It invites us to let go of self-doubt and rediscover our true identity with clarity and confidence.
Living in the Moment
Dragonflies spend most of their lives in an immature form, only emerging to fly for a brief period. Yet in that short time, they live fully.
They remind us to embrace the present — to be aware, intentional, and alive in each moment.
Expanded Vision
With eyes that see in nearly every direction and a brain wired for sight, the dragonfly symbolises expanded awareness — the ability to see beyond limitations and gain a broader, more insightful perspective on life.
